Koen de Graaf (Groningen, NL, 1991) focuses on using existing imagery as base material: mainly the history of botanical drawing, comics, animated film and found imagery like photobooks. The working process is most important: cutting up, reshaping, extracting forms and re-using his own work. All this makes a base for new works where shape, color, light and space sets a new context in which these found images function way different from their original state. His favourite techniques to work with include Stone Lithography, Collage and Painting, among others like intaglio and Risograph.
 
Currently living and working in de Biotoop, Haren NL.
